The Wallace Center’s 2026 Homecoming will take place October 2–4 in Harpersville, Alabama, continuing a tradition that exemplifies the heart of our work. This three-day gathering brings together Black and white Wallace descendants from across the country to celebrate kinship, engage in courageous conversations that challenge inherited false narratives, and work toward repairing long-held wounds. Participants identify shared values and strengthen bonds that connect past, present, and future. Now in its seventh year, Homecoming has grown alongside the Harpersville and surrounding communities, whose partnership fortifies these efforts. Homecoming remains a powerful space for reflection, relationship-building, and shared commitment to a more honest and connected future.
Descendants will be given first priority to attend this meaningful gathering. Non-descendants are warmly welcomed and strongly encouraged to support the experience through a donation, helping sustain the work of reconciliation and community building. Registration details will be announced in the coming months.
