OUR FIRST KA&C INTERN

Isabella Newbrun joined Klein Arts & Culture for the summer of 2020 as our first intern. She grew up in Oakland California and is currently getting her undergraduate degree in International Affairs at the George Washington University. Isabella is passionate about equality and justice. She feels honored to be contributing to the documentation of the black history of Klein and the larger community. At George Washington she has focused her studies on contemporary cultures and societies, learning about different minority communities and the cultural importance of diversity. Isabella has been active in groups such as The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, as well as other volunteer organizations and school groups. She says, “I am excited to be a part of this project and want to do the community justice.”
