“Sew Their Names” Sewing Workshop #1 with Lowndes County and Harpersville Quilters

Join the Mt. Willing quilters, the Wallace Center, and the Harpersville community for a powerful day of connection, remembrance, and creativity. Together, we will honor the names of ancestors enslaved on the Wallace plantation by sewing their names onto fabric squares. The renowned Lowndes County quilters will share their stories of reclamation and inspiration, guiding participants in the art of embroidery and helping each person contribute to this meaningful tribute. All are welcome—come be part of this healing and historic event.
